Aint no party like a glowstick party

We spent New Years Eve at Nate's 3rd most requested house to visit (behind Nana's house and Seth's house) "Ky's house"
Nate loved all the fun hats and blowers. Here the boys are tooting their own horns.
We then had a glowstick party for the kids in the dark and danced to High School Musical songs. My pictures dont do it justice at all - it was way cool!
Here is what Isabel looked like, with and without a flash.

Let's hear it for the boys

Dear Mommies
If you have sons the exact same age as my sons, please stop moving away. Thanks.

Whoa - look at all those kids!

Merry Merry Christmas

I know I'm behind in my blogging and everything but with Ryan off work I haven't wanted to spend all our time with me in front of the computer. So here's the Reader's Digest version of Christmas. Our lovely Christmas tree (I think me and Ryan put more ornaments up high then down low)
Our boy on Christmas morning in their giant stockings. Nate is holding his #1 favorite gift and the only thing he wanted to ask santa for: Blue Lightning McQueen
Ryan's mom was the original "big stocking" house and it's tradition for all the grandkids to take a picture in their stocking (if you are bored go back to our Xmas 06' on the blog and see the progression of 3 years of Nate in his stocking) I even had pictures of me standing in my stocking before we had any kids.
Maddie got a little karaoke stage for her room and Nate and her had a fun time performing on it for us. Nate called it the "Nate Show" they sang, posed and jumped off the stage like rock stars.
Grandma and Papa Roy got Nate this fun tunnel!
At the Murdock/Phares Christmas, the kids helped put ornaments on the Advent tree while Deanne read the story. It was cute to see Nata so serious about it :)

Lane Family Pictures

Megan Siana took our family portraits this year with Ryan's fam. We liked them so much we all used them in our Christmas cards.

First tooth and on the move!

Zach's first tooth broke thru the surface of his gums this Saturday! It was his 7 month birthday (Nate's first broke thru on his 6 month B-day) Ok so I edited this photo a bit (twice)- I figured it was easier than trying to get a shot of the real chomper.
Zachy also started really crawling this weekend!

Officially Three

Nate's 3 Years Portraits:
I feel like it's been Nate's birthday for a whole week now but Thursday it became official: he's 3! (and thank goodness the celebrations are over) So on his actual day my mom and I took him to Disneyland to celebrate and meet up with the Reynolds and Papa. He got his very first Annual Passport from Nana & Papa for his B-day! We did some of his favorite things, the Jedi show, Buzz Lightyear, Jungle Cruise, and he got to pick out a toy: Sully & Mike Waldowski cars from the movie Cars. We went to City Hall and got the special birthday button which was cool cuz the rest of the day all the castmembers kept saying "Happy Birthday Nate" and he got a special Happy Birthday call from Goofy - cute!
One sucky part - we lost Nate in a store. My mom and I were trying to get something out of the stroller storage area for Zachy and we looked up and Nate had wandered away. We couldn't find him for about 45 seconds and it totally sucked. He was just about 10 feet away but behind the aisle so we couldn't see him.
Here's his pass photo - the dumb lady took it when he wasnt looking at the camera and didnt re-take it. It's not like he was being difficult, he just looked away for a second. Does anyone else feel like some castmembers are going down hill? We even had 2 dumb tram caboose guys who wouldnt help anyone with their strollers - Hello, you're just standing there doing nothing.

Party like a Jedi

For Nate's friend party we (of course) did a Darth Vader theme.

My favorite thing was the "Stick the Chestplate on DarthVader" We blindfolded the kids then put a black cape on them and called them "The Emperor" then they stumbled towards the poster with their arms straight out like the Emperor does - it was funny hee hee. Although by the looks of where they stuck their stickers I dont think the kids had a clear idea of what they were aiming for. Some (like Nate) even refused the blindfold and had just the cape and still missed the mark completely. The big winners were Grace, Wes & Kendra!

Here is some of the awesome Darth ambiance we had.
Here are some party-goes kickin it and then watching Nate's 3 year video (which I hope to post soon)
Nate got all sorts of great gifts! Here he is trying on his Knight helmet. At the end of the party each kid got a musical instrument (you're welcome moms) and we had an awesome Jam session.

Taking a Stand

Sunday night while the rest of us were eating dinner, Zachy decided he was no longer happy just sitting there, grabbed on to his toy bucket and pulled himself up all by his little self! So I jumped up as fast as I could going "Where's my camera, where's my camera?" Mind you, this kid is not really crawling yet so don't expect to see him toddling down the street soon - he just needed to see over his bucket :)

Shout out to the Corbetts for sending it to us - so funny!

Nate's Third Birthday Party

Thou the weather outside was frightful, Nate's family B-day party turned out to be a ROCKIN' good time!
Here Nate is opening some of his awesome haul of toys, games, clothes and musical instruments. After having to scoot over 5 times at last year's present opening, I set up this awesome blockade using the coffee table. The opposition tried several time to break thru into our area but we prevailed!
This is his scary Jengo Fett face and him blowing out the candles that didn't stand up cute in the giant cookie :(
Little brother was there chillin with his homie Chase and all the fam.
So YES I'm ok with the musical instruments, he has been so into them and was constantly asking me for bassoons, trumpets and everything that I actually requested them.
After the festivities there was an impromptu jam session led by Uncle Joel and Aunt Becky check out Nate rockin that "Zackyphone"
