Snoop dog

Since our camping trip got canceled due to rain, we wanted to do a fun family thing during the weekend and since Nate loved going to Knott's in the summer w/Grandma and Papa Roy, that's where we went. It was nice, they had cute kiddie rides in Camp Snoopy and the waits were nothin!
We rode the train and listened to a very un-Disney commentary of the things around us.We rode in little balloon things:Nate had so much joy in his face on this ride, it was so cute!
The boys had to manually pump these little carts around (Zach got some help)
And after we crossed this bridge my camera battery died. Darn.
We had a nice time, Nate really like the cowboy stunt show, I like the potato cheese soup in a bread bowl and we were all happy that it didnt rain on us :)

Everybody bowl!

After Lowes we headed over to the alley for 99 cent bowling (plus shoes) with bumpers! The kids had alot of fun and even us "adults" (I still feel weird calling myself an adult - how sad) bowled too.
Nate had some great celebration moves after knocking down pins
The boys loved waiting for the balls to return:
and got so excited each time one came up the ramp.
They had this cool "slide" to help the little ones bowl.
I got 2 spares while holding Zach on my hip, a stranger (weird guy) came up to shake my hand cuz he'd never seen anyone bowl that way.
It was super fun!

Where your treasure is...

Valentine's Day started out at Lowes this year. We met up with the Reynolds to make heart "treasure" boxes (not jewelry boxes - my boys don't have jewelry)
Zach and Chase had a fun time testing out their hammers on different surfaces of Lowes.

What do you do with a scurvy pirate?

On Friday we went out for Joel's Birthday to the Pirate Adventure Dinner in Buena Park. It was pretty cool. There was a big "ship" in the room and the pirates swung on ropes over the audience. There was a bit more singin and dancin then I expected but it was a good show. It's alot like Medieval Times, you root for your color pirate to become the captain's first mate, but it's a much smaller venue so you are super close to the action.
Nate LOVED it! He was so into the swords, the fighting, the acrobatics, everything.
They picked alot of people out of the audience to be in the show. Out of our group of 15, 5 got picked. Ethan and Kenna got to "shoot" guns. Here's Ryan, Joel and Becky's cousin Phil hoisting the sails:
and flexing their muscles :)
Everyone was into sword fighting:
Nate likes to wear his patches in the middle so he can still see.
