Zach: America's Next Top Model?

When Inland Living Magazine showed up at our MOPS meeting last month to take photos for an article my first thoughts were Crap, I didn't have time to straighten my hair this morning! Then when the guy started taking pictures I found myself doing that fake audience smile just in case I was in a shot. Then, as usual, Zach got booted out of the nursery for being a giant cryer and since it was a "moms" group and only a few kids were in there I guess the guy thought it would be a good idea to get a shot of him so he planted himself behind me for a few minutes. When Zach stood up in my lap the guy started clicking away and I knew we were in! Thank goodness it's only a back view of me! I wish he didn't have his ni-nee in his mouth but oh well. The guy took down our names but they arnt in the article. If anyone has any extra copies lying around, I'd love to track some more down for our moms and grandmas!
Here are some large versions if you want to see em:

Hooray for Family Camp!

"Big ups" to Pam and Ken for organizing another fantastic Family Camp in San Diego! We love FamCamp so much and look forward to it every year. We were fortunate again to stay with my parents in their awesome trailer - Thanks mom and dad! There were so many great moments and awesome pictures it was hard to pick just a few to blog.
Here are a few shots of Zach chillin with his homies:
Here's Nate kickin it with his peeps:
Nate had a "camp crush" on Jasmin this weekend. They played forever in the kiddie pools after everyone else left and had so much fun playing together. After that Nate was always asking where Jasmin was and wanting to share things with her and show her things... it was pretty cute. Here they are dumping water on their heads:
I got a cool sequence of Nate making some awesome wet faces:Here is Zach wiped out due to lack of normal naps and Nate eating 1 of Nana's giant marshmallows.
I just really like theses shots of Nate :)

Sea the World

So since we have passes to Sea World, we cant be in San Diego without cruisin by. So after packing up we headed over for a few. With our passes we got free tickets to ride in their sky buckets. Nate liked it, it was cute, but I certainly would never pay money for it.
Look Zach a giant killer whale is sneaking up behind you to attack!
Oh, you don't care?
Alright.
Yes, I know it is odd to commemorate a trip to the bathroom on your blog but I have to tell you how awesome these Potty Toppers are. I dont know how you mom's of girls put up with all trips to public bathrooms without a "stander". Whenever I hear those dreaded words: "Mommy I need go poopoo a potty!" I cringe at the thought of his little hands clenching the sides and underneath surface of those nasty public toilet seats. Yuck. So I highly recommend this item, it has a waterproof plastic underside that grips the seat and little sticky "panty liner" tabs in case you have squirmer. I keep them in a outer pouch on our stroller so I can grab and run (I've learned from experience that I dont want to take the time to pull them out of the storage area)

Its been 3 weeks since my last post...

Here are some fun random pictures:
Zachy woke up with crazy hair the other day and kept making crazy faces while i tried to take a picture of it.
Nate got this tool set for x-mas but I hid it until now so he was super excited to open it. My theory is: if it makes it home in the box then we hide it to open later!
The boys got new matchy sandles for summer - I love velcro sandels.

Too many parties?.... Never!

This weekend we were invited to a million and 2 parties, not really but alot. We had such a good time at the parties (makes me think I need to plan more fun stuff at our parties) but the guilt of non-blogging was so strong I only pulled my camera out at 1 party and only took a few shots. This was Grace's B-day at the Sawdust Factory. It was SO CUTE! The kids got to paint a doghouse any way they wanted then pick out a doggy and name it. Nate named his dog Spot-tees and slept with it last night!
Nate and his bros, Hunter and Seth doing a little line hugging.

Fountain fun

Our Mops table had a hangout at Victoria Gardens to play in the water fountain. It was a really nice day and the kids had lots of fun. Nate loves playing in water and I like not having to worry about floaties and drowning so in my opinion, fountains rule!
Here Nate is so happy! Here Zach is sad cuz the fountain got big and scared him.
At 1 point all the kids took a little break on the steps and it was so cute to see them just kicking it.

New show, new parade

The boys and I joined the Powell ladies for a day at Disneyland with 3 goals: see the new Playhouse Disney show, see the new Pixar Play Parade and get they kids wet. All 3 were accomplished.
Playhouse Disney was cute, there are more characters that Nate recognizes. We sat towards the back so the kids all stood which was kinda nice but you do miss out on the excitement of a few things falling on your head (streamers and stuff)
While Nate and Kaitlyn played in the water, Zachy was happy to snack in the stroller and kept making funny faces at me.
We saw the new parade last and it was cute. Nate is really into all those Pixar movies so he was excited to see all the characters (but where were the Bugs Life guys?) The only odd thing is that it's a night parade (5:15pm) and EVERY float squirts the audience! Here's Woody ready to hose up Nate.
The highlight of the parade for Nate was seeing Lightning McQueen and Mater again. I cant wait for the new Cars land to open up at DCA, he's gonna love that!
