It's been wacky

This week is Wacky Week of Fun (WWF) at Flipside. Nate's team is the Teal Tall Comets (I think that's what they said) He's been having a good time playing with all the other kids.
This guy Paolo, was Nate's best bud at First School. Every time we went he'd tell me about playing with Paolo and ask where he is, so it was pretty cool that he came to WWF.
I've been here all week doing "science experiments" with Dr. Smart (Deanne) and today Ryan came and helped out on the blue team.

Random Stuff

Here's a montage of what's been goin on round here lately.
Before it was so stinkin hot, Ryan and Nate had a "campout" in the backyard. Nate was so excited to put up the tent and put his sleeping bag out and use the lantern. They lasted out there until 9pm when Nate told Ryan he wanted to go sleep in his bed.
Here's Nate taking some no-floaties excursions across the spa, we are hoping to start swim lessons in July. Zachy with crazy hair before we gave him a haircut. Our last D-land trip before we were blocked out for the summer, sniff-sniff. Here we are on the train ready to see the dinosaurs!
The boys love the fountain at the Gardens. In these pictures it looks like no one was there that day but there were a few others.
Father's Day!
I was taking pictures real low and got some great shots of the boys and the beautiful sky. At my mom's the kids all went swimming. Nate and Ryan fire-hosed everyone in the pool with the funoodle until the spa water level was too low. Zachy preferred this bucket to any other pool.
The Smarts got this awesome inflatable that Nate just loves!
Popsicle time = happy kids.
This is Nate's new "superhero" outfit. For some reason he's got it in his head that naked equals every superhero so he comes in, pulls down his bottoms and says "I a superhero."

Hey Friends!
If you are bored this summer and your kids want to get wet, we are having Kiddie Pool Parties almost every Wednesday this summer from 10am-12. We have 2 little pools, a sprinkler and a little sandbox to play in. And I promise my kids will have suits on (well... for the most part anyways) So if you know where I live, come over. If you know me but not where I live, leave a comment and I'll get the info to you. If you dont know me... well... who are you, eh?
Here's our Kiddie Pool Schedule:
  • June 11
  • June 17
  • (not on June 25 - go to WWF @ Flipside instead)
  • July 2
  • (not on July 9th - I'm on vay-cay)
  • July 16
  • July 23
  • July 30
Beyond July I'm not yet sure because I dont know Nate's school schedule yet.

Summer Projects

I have given myself 3 summer projects to do. I'm not sure why I'm labeling them "Summer Projects" cuz it's not like I'm less busy than before now that we dont have school one day a week. If anything we'll probably be busier now that everyone else can hang out with us (hint, hint, hang out with us) anyways...
Project #1
Update my photo albums.
The picture you see above was the last one in my album. It's from June 06! Two years since I printed pictures! So now I have a billion files to go thru and sort out what to print, I'm scared that it will be like 900 photos! Also I need some good albums. My "post-scrapbooking days" albums are all different sizes and shapes, I'd really like to re-do them all into a nice streamline row of similar size books. And NO! I'm not going to scrapbook them. I'm a blogger, not a scrapper. Those days came and went. I miss the good ol' peel and stick 6 pictures on a page books like we had when I was a kid. Now everything is pockets - yeach! And they are all like 2 pictures per page, I'll need like 100 albums! Anyone seen any nice bulk style albums out there?
Project #2
Complete the boys' 1st year books.
I've book looking for "the perfect book" for each of my boys' 1st year of portraits and their 1st year calenders. Unfortunately I've pictured the perfect book and now nothing I find lives up to it. Here's what I want: a 12x12 scrapbook style book with drop in protectors, 40-50 sides of pages, 2 matching books that's arnt exactly the same, preferably some sort of cute window or personalization on the front and on sale. Once I saw the perfect book that also made into a box (awesome, I know) but I think all my stuff inside would be too thick for it. See, I'm pretty picky that's why I havent found the right book yet.
Project #3
Make Birthday Advents
My friend Jeska is so awesome. She made these birthday advents for her kids http://whitesandbaby.wordpress.com/2008/01/06/its-the-final-countdown/
and they make me super jealous so I am determined to get mine done. N8's B-day is Dec and Zach's just passed so I have time I just dont want to be cramming to get it dont in Nov. It's perfect cuz their B-days are the 13th and 15th so I'll make Nate's "HAPPYBIRTHDAY" = 13 and Zach's will add a space and an exclamation mark. I'm thinkin I'll put skulls or flames on them because I am just that dorky.

Two hats... A Hunt... Two hats

On Saturday Nate and I picked up Hunter to hang out. We had a few of these funny hats so we brought one for Nate & Hunter. Nate was wearing both of them in the car so I snapped this funny picture.
I took the boys to the train store where they also had these cool slot cars that the guys loved. But even slot cars dont beat trains at the train store so we spent alot of time at the tracks
(I was bored so I made them pose for interesting photos)
Outside the boys wanted to "put their feet in the fountain" but boys cant resist water, so they both ended up drenched in their clothes.
I let the boys ride home in the car in their undies which they loved (they are NOT naked here I swear)
The next day we went to Jacob's cowboy party where they boys got cute cowboy hats and what did I see on the way home... Two hats again! What a funny guy I have.
